Our servers are housed in a state of the art datacentre, featuring maximum network, power and cooling redundancy to ensure that your site is operational 24/7.
Physical Security
The datacentre makes use of military-grade passcards as well as biometric hand scanners to limit access throughout. Public access to the datacentre is also forbidden.
Power
The power systems are designed to be able to run uninterrupted, even in the unlikely event of a total power failure. Our servers are fed via conditioned UPS power, that will run should power fail. The UPS features maximum redundancy (N+1) with instant failover should the primary UPS fail. In the event of an extended power failure, the on-site diesel generator can run indefinitely. The generator is constantly tested to ensure it will function when most needed.
Environment
The datacentre is meticulously tidy. All the air within is circulated and filtered every 90 seconds to remove dust particles and any contaminants. The Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning system features N+1 redundancy with a duplicate system ready to take over should the primary system fail.
An advanced fire-suppression system is in place to stop the spread of fire before it happens. All cables to servers and routing equipment are securely tied down and cable racks suspend from the ceiling to provide dual routing for all cables. In the event that any cable on a cable rack is cut or burnt, packets of data will be automatically routed to a second set of cabling on the other side of the datacentre.
Network
The datacentre is powered by Cisco equipment and utilises switches to ensure maximum network speed. Cisco GSR 12000 class routers running with N+1 redundancy ensure data can continue to be routed in the event of a router failure. The network features over 1200MBit of aggregate bandwidth capacity via multiple redundant fibre connectivity.
